1. Malware is a software which is specifically designed to disrupt or damage a computer system

2. There are four types of Malware: Trojans, Worms, Spyware and Viruses

   • Spyware is software that aims to gather information about a person or organization without their knowledge
   • A Worm is a sub-class of a virus, they spread from computer to computer and unlike a virus can travel without human input
   • A virus attaches itself to a file or program enabling it to spread from computer to computer
   • A Trojan Horse is Malware that will appear to be useful information but will install dangerous software onto your computer

3. To protect against Malware it is reccomended to install Anti-Virus/Malware Software, keep it up to date, secure your network, back up files, and use strong passwords
