Atomic Models
Thompson Plum Cake Model: Positive and Negative Charge equally distributed
Rutherford Model
- All the positive charge is concentrated in Nucleus
- Most of the space inside the atom is empty
- Positive charge of the atom or Nucleus occupies very little space as compared to the size of atoms
Bohr Energy Level Model
- Protons and neutrons are in the nucleus
- Electrons can only be certain distances from the nucleus
- The electrons orbit the nucleus at fixed energy levels
- The electrons must absorb or emit a fixed amount of energy to travel between stationary orbits
