1. Intro

   • Forces are pushes and pulls between two objects
   • Forces are measured in Newtons (N)

2. Types of Forces

   • magnetism
   • air and water resistance
   • friction
   • gravity
   • upthrust
   • thrust
   • static electricty

3. Non Contact and Contact

   • A contact force is any force that requires touching to occur between objects
     • eg. friction, upthrust
   • A non-contact force is a force which acts on an object without coming physically in contact with
     • eg. magnetism, static electricty, gravity

4. Mass and Weight

   • Weight is a force and is caused by pull of gravity acting on a mass
   • Mass is the amount of matter in an object and is measured in kilograms

5. Unbalanced and balanced forces

   • The forces are unbalanced which can lead to change in speed or direction
