Environmental Impacts of ICT
  1. Use recycled paper or store data on a hard drive to save cutting down forests
    1. Only replacing computer parts where possible rather than replacing the entire piece because manufacturing of ICT equipment uses natural resources and produces carbon emissions
      1. Dispose of computer waste carefully. If it is just dump it in landfill then harmful chemicals could escape into water supplies to prevent plant life and animals from surviving
        1. Reduce the energy consumed by switching off the computer or peripheral devices when not in use
          1. ICT equipment tends to generate heat, open a window rather than turn on the air conditioning
            1. Businesses should consider using video conferencing to reduce the carbon footprint that employees would create if they travelled to the meeting
