  1. SOURCE

    • It is the place where the information emanates, the data, the content that will be sent, in conclusion: from where the primary message is born.
  2. ENCODING

    • The Codification consists in that the Issuer converts the message into signs that can be received and understood by the receiver.
  3. CHANNEL

    • It is the means through which information-communication is transmitted, establishing a connection between the sender and the receiver. Better known as the material or spatial support through which the message circulates. Examples: the air, in the case of the voice; the telephone line, in the case of a telephone conversation.
  4. ENCODING

    • The Decoding consists of the Recipient converting the signs that arrive in a message. In this way the signs are associated with the ideas that the Issuer tried to communicate.
  5. RECEIVER

    • The Receiver is the person to whom the communication is directed. The receiver performs a reverse process to the issuer, since it deciphers and interprets the signs used by the sender; that is, it decodes the message it receives from the Issuer.
