High and Low lvl code
High and Low level code
- High level code
- High level code is the code used by people, and is more understandable than the low level code.
- Low level code
- Low level code is code similar to the code the computer uses, and is usually converted into high level code.
- Translator
- Changes low level code into high level code
- High level code
Assembler, Interpreter, and Compiler
- Compiler
- Converts all the code at once, meaning that it can change the code into high level code very easily, and dosnt take up much storage. The downside however is that because its all done at once, if there`s an error, then it`ll list them all at once
- Interpreter
- Runs code and changes the code from low to high line by line, This means that the process is slow, and takes up space, However, if there is an error, then at the end of the code, it will stop where the error is, meaning its SUPER easy to debug.
- Assembler
- Translate assembly language mneumonics like ADD, STA, INP to machine code.
- Compiler
Mod and Div
- Mod
- Displays the remainder of the division
- Eg. 14mod3
- 4 remainder 2
- Answer= 2
- 4 remainder 2
- Div
- Displays the actual number not the remainder
- Eg 14div3
- 4 remainder 2
- Only display 4
- 4 remainder 2
- Eg 14div3
- Displays the actual number not the remainder
- Mod
IDE
- An integrated development environment (IDE) is an application used to create software. An IDE can often support different languages.
- The IDE has several tools to automate and speed up the processes.
- Auto Documentation
- Keeps a note of the variables used in the program.
- Translator
- Low level code into High level code
- Debugger
- Shows what the problems are and shows where they are.
