   • - to investigate the influence of acoustic and semantic word similarity on learning and recalling in short term memory

4. Procedure

   • -Each list of 10 words were presented at one word every 3 seconds
   • - Each participant was required to complete six tasks involving memory for digits
   • -They were asked to recall the word list in one minute
