2. Local

   • One person uses it, Accessed on one device

3. Relational databases

   • More than one table that is linked together
   • It is simple to update information: for example the address can be changed only once.
   • Different levels of access
   • Features
     • Information separated into discrete entities
       • Based on the real world
       • Employees,products
     • Entities can be described as a series of fields
       • Describe the structure of the entities
       • Product name,weight
     • Entities are connected by series of relationships
       • Built using common field
       • Represented by entity relationship diagram

4. Network

   • More than 1 person uses it
   • Accessed with as many computers as you want

5. Online databases

   • Why are they used?
     • It is used to update the users on the information for example;
     • Used to store data online
   • Examples
     • Amazon
     • Facebook
