Types of Relationships

1. One to one

   • Patient details
   • One record is linked to one record in another table

2. One to many

   • One record will have many links to another table
   • Customer's orders

3. Many to many

   • They are very rare
   • More than one thing in a table will be linked to more than one thing in another time

4. Relationships

   • Information is stored in sets of related tables based on the entities
   • Relationships built through shared common fields

5. Entity Relationship diagram

   • A specialised graphic that shows the relationship between entities in a database
