         • Benefits: Helps teacher modify future lesson planning based on learners needs

2. SUMMATIVE

   • It is used to determine at a particular point , what students know and don't know
     • State assesssments,
       • End of Unit or chapter test - end of term or semester exams
         • Benefits: Scores are used for accountability

3. SIMILARITIES

   • BOTH ARE WAYS TO ASSESS. STRATEGIES ARE NEEDED, EVALUATE STUDENTS EFFECTIVILY, CAN BE USED FOR FEEDBACK, ASSIST IN FUTURE LESSON PLANNING
