1. Evaluation

   • strengths
     • provides an account of memory for both structure and processes. the structures are the three stores and the processes are attention and rehearsal. however its been critisised as it focuses too much on structure and not enough on process.
   • Limitations
     • evidence for a non-unitary STM came from the case study of KF, who suffered brain damage which resulted in difficulty dealing with verbal info in STM but a normal ability to process visual information.
