It includes the adverse effects of : overgrazing, excessive tillage (mechanical cultivation of agricultural soils by a plough), erosion, sediment deposition, mining, urbanisation, disposal of industrial wastes, road construction, decline of plant communities and the effects of poisonous plants of animals.
