1. Virus

   • Viruses infect files by replicting themselves through the computer everytime the file is opened. It often is harmful to he fils on the computer.

2. Worm

   • worms replicte themselves so many times that the computer crashes

3. Trojan

   • A trojan is how viruses or worms get onto computers. It will be hidden in another file which people download . while they are using that file, the virus or worm will be installed onto the computer.

4. Browser malware

   • adware
     • when you open a website, the malware will redirect you to another, identical looking site.
     • forces your browser to display unwanted pop-up advertisements. It can cause pages that you didn't request to open up taking you to unwanted web sites.
   • Click fraud
     • this is where, when you click on something it makes someone money
     • aims to use your computer resources to open certain web sites and send a mouse click to the adverts. Every click makes them money however you are unaware
   • pharming
     • this makes lots of pop-ups and ads come up and can take you to pages you don't want.
     • Pharming malware will infect your browser, redirecting you to an identical looking, but fake website.
