What is it?
- Its the use of scripting language to create code on websites. The most common use is interactive buttons.
Benefits
- The speed of the interaction (button) may be faster once the code has been downlaoded with the page.
- It is more secure that server side processing. This is because nothing comes from the browser which could corruption or problems.
Drawbacks
- It has to be on one specific browser as for example Macs script programs differently to Windows.
- It can be affected by the speed of the user's computer because all of the activities are taking place on a downloaded wepage.
