Referencing other workbooks
You can add more than one worksheet to a work book
To use this in practise, follow the instuctions
- Step 1: add in 3 different sheets into a blank workbook and rename them January, February, March
- Enter random money values into column B naming column A "sales" for the 3 sheets
- Add in another sheet naming it "annual total" and name cell A1 "yearly total"
- To reference data on another worksheet, you use the exclamation mark. So enter this in cell B1 of your Annual Total worksheet: =January!B1
- To add up all our monthly worksheets, just reference them in the same manner: =January!B1 + February!B1 + March!B1
- You have the yearly total
