  1. Bombardment (in regard to Earth’s Formation)

    • About 4.5 to 3.8 billion years ago, failed planets and smaller asteroids collide into larger worlds, it is changing and scarring of the surface. Near the end of the violence, during a period known as the late Heavy Bombardment, Impacts in the solar system may have increased.
  2. ·

    • Geological Time Scale
      • The geologic time scale is a system of chronological dating that relates geological strata to time. This is used by geologists and more. The other Earth scientists describe the timing and relationships of events that have happened during the years of our Earth being alive.
  3. Layers of the Earth

    • The layers of the Earth are important. They are a lot of them that are mixed with different materials and have different temperatures too. The layers are Crust, Mantle, Outer core, Inner core. All these have a meaning to keep the core running and safe from things that can destroy it. Without no core there is no earth to live.
  4. Stratigraphy

    • The meaning of Stratigraphy is the branch of geology concerned with the order and relative position of strata and their relationships to the geological time scale.
  5. Fossil Record

    • A fossil record is a group of fossils that have been examined and moved around in some sort of order. Fossils are created when an organism dies and they are pressed into dirt and rock. They slowly are replaced by minerals over time. What is left after a good amount of time is impressioned of an animal which one existed.
  6. Relative Dating

    • Relative dating is the science of determining the relative order of past events.without determining their exact age. The rock layers of this has diffrent minerals and rocks.
    • Absolute Dating
      • Absolute dating is the process of determining an age on a specific time scale in geology and more. Some scientists prefer the terms chronometric or calendar dating, as use of word absolute.
