   • A computer peripheral is any external device that provides input and output for the computer. It is attached to the computer.

   • Any information or data sent to a computer for processing is considered input. Input or user input is sent to a computer using an input device.
   • Eg scanner

4. Output

   • is data that a computer sends. Computers only work with digital information.
   • E.g. printer speaker headphones

5. Process

   • In computing, a process is the instance of a computer program that is being executed by one or many threads. It contains the program code and its activity.

6. Storage devices

   • used to permanently record or store data.
   • Eg CD hardrive

7. Software

   • a program, after operating information. Completes a task and cannot touch them.

   • eg. word and power point

8. Hardware

   • Computer hardware includes the physical, tangible parts or components of a computer
   • eg. hardware

   • data that has been processed
