  1. Cache

    • Cache is a temporary storage area that has copies of data, this is volatile
    • Cache is used in the CPU (Central Processing Unit) in a computer to access data from the main memory
    • Cache is used because main storage can't keep up with all the demands of cache
  2. RAM

    • RAM (Random Access Memory) is a type of computer storage that can be accessed randomly
    • RAM is the memory in a computer that is used to store running programs for the program
    • RAM is the hardware in a computer that when data is being used is kept so they can quickly be reached
  3. Cores

    • Cores are parts of the CPU that receives instructions and performs calculations
    • The CPU has multiple cores and if you have a 2 cores it will be called a dual-core
  4. Clock Speed

    • The clock speed in a CPU is measured in hertz generally in gigahertz
    • The speed is measured in gigahertz which is the speed of a single core of your processors
    • The CPU requires a fixed amount of clock ticks or clock cycles to execute each individual instruction
