1. Wavelength: the shortest distance between equivalent points on a continuouse wave. Equivalent points are a crest (highest points) and a trough (lowest point)

2. Amplitude: the wave's height from the origin to a crest

3. frequency: the number of waves that pass a given poiny per second

4. The electromagnetic spectrum contains: 1-radioactive waves, 2-microwaves, 3-infrared 4-visible light, 5-ultraviolet, 6-x-rays, 7- gamma rays

5. The atomic emission spectrum of an element is the set of frequencies of the electromagnetic waves emitted by the atoms of the element.

6. Each element's atomic emission spectrum is unique and discontinuous.
