1. The purpose

   • its an application usedto create software. it can often support different languages. it has a lot of tools that can assist a developer when creating software

2. The five tools

   • Translator
     • changes high-level languge into machine language so the CPU can understand it.
   • Auto Documentation
     • explains the function and purpose of the code. it collects code into a text file so other devlopers can see why the code was created
   • Debugger
     • lets you change the value of veribales at run-time. it lets you conditinaly break exicution at any point in the code.
   • Build autimation
     • its the prosses of autimating the creation of a software. compiles computer source code into binary code, packaging binary code and running autimated tests
   • Libraries
     • stores all the code so other devlopers can find these codes to help with their software they are creating.
