The Problem of Evil and Suffering
- If God Created the universe out of nothing, he is omnipotent
- Therefore he could have created a universe without evil and suffering
- God is omniscient- he knows everything
- He must therefore know how to stop evil and suffering
- He is omnibenevolent so must not want his creation to suffer
- But evil and suffering DO exist
- So God either cannot have these powers OR
- God cannot exist
