Proper Noun: refers to specific
people, places, things, ideas,
qualities or states and have an
initial capital letter

Common Noun: refers to general
people, places, things, ideas, qualities or
states and usually have a lower case
initial letter, unless at the beginning of
a sentence (boy/city/religion/bridge/day)
Concrete Noun: physical/tangible
things like people, objects and
places (guitar/mouse/clothes)
Abstract Noun: refers to ideas,
processes, occasions, times and
qualities and cannot be touched or
seen (hope/freedom/morning/wedding)
