Third Declension Nouns

All nouns that do not belong in Group 1 or 2 go into Group 3. Although the basic endings of this group can be applied to most of the nouns within it, there are some strange spelling changes. 

Group 3 nouns can be subdivided into:Nouns with 

Guttural StemsDental StemsLabial Stems-ντ, κτ stems-ρ stems-ν stems-σ stems­-ι, υ stems­­

Guttural Stem-End in γ, κ, χ-Masculine and feminine endings are the same-Spelling for nom and voc are the sameHow to form them:1. Look up nom and gen singularὁ φυλαξ, του φυλακος2. Remove the -os ending from gen singular to form stemφυλακ3. add following endings:

Singular Acc - αGen - οςDat - ιPluralNom - εςVoc - εςAcc - αςGen - ωνDat - σι
