Solution- when a SOLUTE is dissolved into a SOLVENT
- white solvent=colourless solution
- Coloured solvent = coloured solution

When chemicals (perfume etc) particles mix with air particles they move quickly in all directions
- they eventually spread throughout the space. this is DIFFUSION
- Diffusion in gases is quick because of how quick the particles move
- Diffusion in liquids is slower because particles in a liquid move slower
- diffusion does NOT happen in solids
