Hitler and his followers marched from the beer hall in Munich to the Bavarian war ministry to overthrow the Bavarian Government, but police where waiting for them and as soon as Hitler arrived police opened fire and shot 16 members of Hitler's followers were killed and four police officers were killed whilst fighting off Hitler and the Nazi party.
