1. How

   • It performs a cycle of fetching data decoding it then executing it's instructions

2. What

   • Clock Speed is measured in hertz.
   • One hertz is just one round of instructions while a GHz is one billion cycles of data

3. Performance

   • The more clock speed a CPU has the faster the process of fetch-decode-execute is

4. Computer Performance

   • Cores
     • Performance
       • With both cores working they can do (almost) twice as much cycles of fetch-decode-execute.
     • How
       • Two cores can do tasks at the same time.
     • What
       • Two cores (or more) who can share their work and depend on eachother
   • RAM
     • How
       • When a program is opened it sends information in the form of data to the RAM storage.
     • What
       • Stores instructions of currently opened programs or apps.
     • Performance
       • It collects data from currently opened programs or apps then sends it directly to the CPU for it to be decoded and executed by its cores.
   • Cache
     • How
       • It reads the instructions and copies commonly used type of data which it then waits for it to be requested.
     • What
       • Fast type of RAM that stores commonly used data by the CPU.
     • Performance
       • The data which is stored inside the cache remains there until there is a request for it therefore making it faster as it is waiting for that particular instruction.
