1. cache

2. RAM

   • the higher the clock speed the more instructions it can process
   • 1 KHz = 1000 (thousand)
   • 1Hz = one cycle per second
   • they measure clock speed by hertz (Hz)

4. cores

   • dual core: two independent processors
   • Quad core: four independent processors
   • simultaneously: at the same time
   • it is the number of how many independent processors
