1. What is binary?

   • Representing presence of electricity
     • On=1
     • Off=0
     • Change 1 and 0 through use of logic gates
       • Logic gates take inputs and convert them to an output
         • Used to change bits and performs calculations within a computer
         • Created by using transistors
         • AND, OR, NOT

2. Truth Tables

   • Output of logic gates can be shown through truth table
     • Show what output can be based on inputs
   • AND

         • 1,0,0
           • 1,1,1
   • NOT
