1. Cartesian plane

   • Meaning
     • To describe a position of a point in a plane
   • Two perpendicular
     • X-axis
       • Abscissa
     • Y-axis
       • Ordinate
   • point where x & y axis intersect
     • Origin X=0, Y=0

2. Quadrants

   • Plane divided into 4 parts by co-ordinate axes

3. Plotting a point (5,4) in cartesian plane

   • STEP-1: Draw a co-ordinate axes and select a scale
     • STEP-2: Starting from origin, count unit on X and Y axis
       • STEP-3: Mark the corresponding points

4. Linear Graph Equation plotting with eg. Y= X-3
