What makes the Danes Stream prone to flooding?
  1. Does
    1. The geology of the Danes stream is clay, which I have found out is very impermeable, more than any other types of rock like chalk and sand. This would make the Danes stream more prone to flooding because water would take much longer to infiltrate into the ground, this means therre is much more over ground flow, which will flow into the river so the river volume will increase much more quickly. There will also be more surface water, which in itself results to flooding because the water will start to collect in puddles, which will get bigger as the rain increases and cause a flood.
