Signal Conversion
DAC will convert a Digital Signal to an analogue one. This is used in devices such as speakers or 'amps'. They convert the signals into audible sound waves.
And ADC (Analogue to Digital Converter) is used so that different devices are compatible with the signals sent to them.
An example of what a ADC does is that it would convert an analogue signal, to a digital signal - Sound Signals pass through a Mic and are then converted to and from.
In the equation, the resolution is the number of values that are procured by the analogue waves.
An example of an ADC is when the analogue waves from a mic are sent to a device in a digital format.
