Possible Projects

1. Architecture

   • Treehouse - I would be able to plan it in my own garden.
     • The location could be my garden as have multiple large trees in my garden
     • I wouldn't be able to build it to full scale so I would have to make a minature model.
     • The clients would be my parents
     • It would be challanging to carry out testing as I can't make the actual design.
     • Planning permsission is required.
   • Loft Conversion - Making my loft into a gym/studio
     • The location is a large open area that is already has a boarded floor
     • The location(my bungalow) is quite old so there could be structural problems.

2. Product Design

   • Help with Osteoarthritis
     • gripping items
     • There's many different options available to design a whole new product thats different to anything.
     • There are lots of products already on the market.
     • I would be able to continuously get feedback as I know someone with Osteoarthritis.
     • Getting up steps
   • A whisk that spins with a button press that isn't electrical.
     • I would be working with materials I haven't worked with before.
     • I believe it is a manageable project I could make for real.

3. Furniture

   • Bunk Bed
     • Lots of opportunities for testing and experiments.
     • Will be possible to model in software and physically.
     • Childrens bed with climbing frames and play dens
       • Could be quite simple but can be changed to include more stuff.
       • Client could be James, my cousins son whos 6.
       • Many different options for themes: Memphis, De stijl
     • Aimed at an older audience for space saving purposes
       • Can be more aimed around functionally rather than entertainment.
       • It could have a larger target audience
       • Many designs are all ready available so mine would have to be differnt.
     • I would have to make sure my design is safe.
   • Space Saving Furniture
     • Folding Furniture
     • Expanding Tables
     • Storage
     • Can be innovative
     • Many different options
     • Might be hard to think of original designs.
     • I might be able to make it full size depending on the product.
