  1. Emotional Intelligence

    • Emotional intelligence helps you understand your own emotions that come up in your mind all the time as well as helps you understand and read other people's emotions. It also helps you act on your emotions and how to handle them when they take over your mind. Fluid is described as "information processing, especially in novel or complex circumstances, such as reasoning, drawing analogies, and thinking quickly and flexibly." (Garson 2019, Pg. 315). Crystallizes Intelligence is described as "knowledge gained through experiences, such as vocabulary and spelling, and cultural information, and use this knowledge to problem solve." (Garson 2019, Pg. 315).
  4. Triarchic Theroy

    • Robert Sternberg was the psychologist who came up with this theory in 1999. It stated that "intelligence is split into three parts in the brain creative thinking, analytical thinking, and, practical thinking." (Garson 2019, Pg.317) Analytical intelligence is problem-solving, completing analogies, and figuring out puzzles. Practical intelligence is your everyday tasks, like your judgment things and how you interact with other people. Creative intelligence is how you solve novel problems and what your mind dreams about and how you express it.
  5. Multiple Inteligences

    • "The idea that people have many different types of intelligence that are independent of one another." (Garson 2019, Pg. 316) The theory is broken up into 7 different categories. spatial, mathematical/logical, bodily-kinesthetics, linguistic, musical, intrapersonal, and interpersonal. Gardener's theory is special because shows that people can have major differences in some of the aspects but yet have outstanding intelligence in others. it shows that all people will have some deficiencies but that everyone is unique and special.
