UNANSWERED PRAYERS

Leading to agnostic/athiesm
1. not feeling Gods presence when praying
  1. prayer can be defined as an attempt to contact God usually through words.
  2. many religious people claim that when they pray they feel the presence of God
  3. however some people say they never feel Gods presence.
    1. this makes them feel that something is wrong
      1. they are praying wrong
      2. there is no God
        leads them to agnosticism/atheism
      3. may begin to question God
        may ask people they respect in the religion
2. Prayes not being answered
  1. example of unanswered prayer
    1. christians believe that god is their loving heavanly father who will answere their prayers.
    2. Catholic Christians believe that St Jude is the patron saint for those who have no other hope.
1.7 summary
1. if people do not feel God's presence when they pray, or if people pray for good things but they are not answered, this might make some doubt God's existence. if God does not answer prayers, how do you know he exists
