  1. Definition - Correlation is a relationship between 2 or more variables to see if a trend or systematic pattern exists between them
    1. Co-variables = IV and DV
      1. Correlation Co-efficient is a number between -1 and +1 that tells us how closely the co-variables in a correlational analysis are related.
        1. Types of correlation
          1. Positive Correlation - As one variable increases so does the other
            1. No correlation - No relationship between variables
              1. Negative Correlation - As one variable increases the other decreases
              2. Target population - The people you are interested in studing.
                1. Sample - A small selection of a target population
                  1. Intervening variable - A variable that comes between 2 other variables which used to explain the relationship between those 2 variables.
