   • Read Only Memory
     • Contains all instructions used to set up
     • Non-Volitile

2. RAM

   • Random Access Memory
     • Volatile
     • Stores Memory of Closed apps that were once opened
       • Can slow computer down if too many apps are stored

3. Optical Storage

   • Stored as in CD
     • 700MB - 8.5 GB
     • Data can not be accidentally deleted or edited
     • Cheap
     • Portable
     • Can't edit or add data

4. Solid State Storage

   • Found in USB Sticks
     • Portable
     • 512GB - 4TB
     • Faster read/write than magnetic and optical storage
     • Durable
     • Silent
   • Expensive

5. Magnetic Storage

   • Used in discs
     • can store up to 200GB - 1TB
       • Fast access
     • Cheap
     • Delicate
     • Memory can be wiped if near magnetic fields
   • Stores binary (1's and 0's)

6. Flash Memory

   • Used for easy storage
     • Used in: computers, cameras, games consoles

7. Virtual Memory

   • Limited space in RAM
     • If RAM is filled Virtual Memory is used acting as RAM
