1. clock speed

   • This is the measured in Hertz which shows us the number of cycles per second
   • A higher clock speed means that more instructions are fetched, decoded and executed in a second

2. Cache size

   • Much faster than accessing RAM
   • Use faster memory technologies increases the price of the computer.
   • To improve speed at minimal cost is to use a small amount of cache
     • The cache makes any data frequently used by CPU available much more quickly

3. Numbers of core

   • When there is more than one core, it means that parallel processes can take place
   • In theory having two cores means that the computer can perform twice as many operations per second.
