   • Temperature is a magnitude referred to the notion of heat measurable by means of a thermometer.

   • Heat is energy in transit flowing from an area of higher temperature to an area of lower temperature.

       • This heat transfer can occur in three different ways: Conduction, Convection and Radiation.

   • Thermal equilibrium is that state in which the temperatures of two bodies are equal, which, in their initial conditions, had different values.

       • The state of thermal equilibrium occurs when the kinetic energy is equal in both bodies. The zeroth law of thermodynamics can be expressed as: if A = C and B = C, then A = B.
