1. Task Requirements

   • Self Determined Criteria
     • Game will have a baking/cooking theme
       • The clicker image is a croissant
       • One of the possible auto clicker upgrades causes the plain croissant clicker image to change to one with ham and cheese filling
       • One of the auto clicker upgrades causes the plain croissant clicker image to change to one with chocolate filling
       • One of the auto clicker upgrades is for the player to have a pro chef
       • Once player has made a certain number of croissant there will be an achievement displayed saying for example, “Newbie Achievement: You made you first croissant!”.
   • Prescribed Criteria
     • PC1:Game must have at least 5 different Auto Clicker Upgrades
     • PC2: Game must implement an Achiever system
     • PC3: Game must have a unique aesthetic that aligns with the context of the clicker game

2. User Problem

   • Sophie wants to be able to play a clicker game that is not about cookies
     • The game must have multiple achievements and upgrades

3. User Persona

   • Sophie
     • 10 yrs old
     • Primary school student
     • Lives in Brisbane
     • Goal is to unlock all of the achievements and upgrades
     • Wants enjoyable and interesting clicker game that has achievements and upgrades
     • Frustrated that most clicker games are only about cookies
     • Is interested in baking, French cuisine and becoming a professional chef when she grows up.
     • SUMMARY: Sophie wants to be able to play a clicker game that is not about cookies and that has multiple achievements and upgrades.

4. Existing Solutions

   • Solution 1 - Scratch - Cookie clicker by Burgerriley
     • Pros
       • Option to play mini games
       • Option to 'rebirth'
       • You can beat the game
       • Clearly shows your clicks per second and cookies per second
       • Good images
       • Some upgrades made you able to get cookies really quickly
     • Cons
       • It doesn't last very long - beat it too quickly
       • The achievements sell out after you have 50
   • Solution 2 - Scratch - Gold Mine Clicker #Clicker #Game by BlueCommander
     • Pros
       • Moving graphics
     • Cons
       • Everything is written in blocky pixel font - hard to read
       • Doesn't display your number of upgrades

5. Graphics Requirements

   • Labels
     • To explain and show the amount and cost of the upgrades
     • To show the score number
     • To display the Achievement outputs
   • Buttons
     • The croissant button - the main clicker button
     • The buttons to buy the click modifier and auto clickers
   • Images
     • The croissant images - plain, ham and cheese and chocolate - which are the images for the main clicker button

6. Task

   • The task is to modify a clicker game and include different functions, modify the GUI and improve game functionality.

7. Modifications

   • Clicker Image
     • Image is modified from a cookie to a croissant
   • Buttons to buy upgrades
     • More buttons are added.
       • Increase from two upgrade buttons to 6
   • Game Windows
     • Instead of having two game windows - shop_window and window - it is modified to have only one window which has the upgrades inside of it
   • Font colour and button background colour
     • The font and background colour of the upgrade buttons are colour coded and match with their corresponding labels so it is easier for user to read
