1. Five examples of data bases are..

   • A Dictionary - paper based - an advantage is that it is done by letters so that you can easily find what you are looking for . A disadvantage of this is that it will take a while for you to find the word that you are looking for.
   • Google - computer based - Advantage of this is that you can find anything that you are looking for. No password or anything so you can get onto sites that you shouldn't be on and it will give your devise viruses.
   • a file on the computer - computer based - an advantage is that you can find it easily and it would have been processed . A disadvantage is that someone could get onto your account and mess around with or delete your file.
   • A Calender- computer based and paper based - an advantage of this is that you will know what you are doing and when you are free. a disadvantage of this is that you could loose it easily.
   • A Diary -probably paper based but can be computer based - advantage you can make it private and try to hide it. Where as a disadvantage is that some one could find it and read it or share it with others without you knowing.

2. Definition of a data base

   • A Data base is a certain place that processed information is stored. This information is easy to find and kept in categories so that you can have a certain subject and find it almost instantly.
