Super Smash Bros Algorithm

  1. Meta Knights moveset

    • Mach Tornado
      • He spins around and hits anyone near him
    • Drill Rush
      • He launches himself at the opponent while spinning
    • Shuttle Loop
      • Goes into the air with his sword pointed
    • Dimensional cape
      • He disappears briefly and reappears
    • Darkness Illusion
      • His ultimate power move
  2. Super Smash Bros game

    • Super Smash Bros is a game where 2 or more players select characters and fight each other, each player has 3 lives and the first to lose all three loses.
  3. Hardware

    • Nintendo Switch
      • We played Smash Bros on the nintendo
    • Joycons
      • We used the Joy cons to control our characters
    • SSB Game card/download
      • We used Smash Bros Game Card to play the game
  4. Prescribed Criteria

    • 1. Develop an Algorithm using Pseudocode conventions
    • 2. Super Smash Bros: develop an ultimate high damage finishing offensive strategy to eliminate the opponent
    • Use five (5) conditions (IF, ELSEIF, ELSE) in your pseudocode
  5. Characters

    • Meta Knight
      • A major character in Kirby who has attacks like a drill. He launches himself at enemies while spinning
    • R.O.B
      • A cool robot with several interesting features. It can fly and shoot lasers
    • Pikachu
      • A yellow electric type Pokémon (No 26)
  6. Algorithm Constructs

    • Sequence
      • BEGIN DECLARE person1_number DECLARE person 2_guess DECLARE guesses SET guesses TO 5 SET person1_number TO 5 OUTPUT Start Guessing WHILE guesses is greater than 0 SET person1_number TO 13 IF person2_number is GREATER THAN person1_number THEN (Formatting issue) CALCULATE guesses EQUALS guesses MINUS 1 END
      • A sequence is the order that the algorithm is executed in, one step at a time.
    • Assignment
      • An assignment is giving a variable a value
      • BEGIN SET variable TO 10 END
    • Selection
      • BEGIN IF variable is 10 THEN OUTPUT 10 (Outcome 1) ELSE OUTPUT Its not 10 (Outcome 2) END
      • The different outcomes of a condition.
    • Condition
      • BEGIN IF variable is 10 THEN (Condition the algorithm is checking for) Say 10 ELSE Say Its not 10 END
      • A condition is when the algorithm is checking for a specific requirement to be met that evaluates to true (yes) or false (no).
    • Iteration
      • BEGIN WHILE variable is GREATER THAN 0 CALCULATE guesses EQUALS guesses MINUS 1 ) OUTPUT variable ENDWHILE END (Formatting doesn't work)
      • An iteration is a construct where a block of instructions repeats a certain amount of time or until a condition is fulfilled.
