1. Identify deliverables and related work
   1. Organize the project based on how you work
      1. Make sure the team has enough information about the work package to get the job done
         1. Each work package has to be compact enough to make it easy to organize
            1. At the end of decomposition, you end up with a bunch of work packages that add up to the major deliverable.
         2. So you need to talk to the team. Are they satisfied that you’ve given them enough detail to do the job?
      2. Then begin breaking down the project into smaller and smaller pieces.

4. The WBS has to do with WHAT the project, while the schedule has to do with HOW and WHEN
