1. Longitudinal waves

3. Propagation of waves

   • Waves only oscillate vertically up and down they do not move forwards or backwards

4. Progressive waves

   • waves that transfer energy away from a source are called progressive waves Transverse and longitudinal waves are bothe progessive waves
