1. Test whether a statement/set of statements is TRUE or FALSE

   • TRUE = 1
     • FALSE = 0

2. AND

   • Requires both inputs to output TRUE
     • Input 1 and 1 ---> Output 1
       • Input 1 and 0 ---> Output 0
         • Input 0 and 0 ---> Output 0
           • Input 0 and 1 ---> Output 0

3. OR

   • Requires at least one input to output TRUE
     • Input 1 and 0 ---> Output 1
       • Input 0 and 1 ---> Output 1
         • Input 1 and 1 ---> Output 1
           • Input 0 and 0 ---> Output 0

4. NOT

   • Reverses the input and outputs the opposite
     • Input 1 ---> Output 0
       • Input 0 ---> Output 1
