- If the first aider or paramedic delivers a shock while someone is in contact with the person, they an become injured

- When performing CPR the first aider becomes tired as the compressions require a large amount of strength
- You can get someone from the crowd to assist you, you can show them the steps of CPR and can work together
- If there is NO ONE to help they can stop for 2 - 3 minutes to rest then resume CPR
- This is not recommended: avoid if possible
4: Ambulance
- Don't stop CPR when you hear the ambulance arrive, as they need to get the equipment and still get to where you are which can take a few minutes
- Only stop doing CPR when the paramedic tells you to stop
- Sometimes you may need to continue CPR while they attach an ECG monitor, put up drips to administer medication or perform other advanced life saving techniques
