1 Styles of graphics

Annotations:

  • Style of graphic reflects how it should be received, for instance if you have a childish style it would make you take is less seriously then if it was a formal style or realistic style
2 Size

Annotations:

  • Size of a graphic can change the style of it, if a graphic is large and bold it generally will be a advertisement because it is meant to be eye catching and easy to see and read
3 Shape

Annotations:

  • The shape of an object can make a design more desirable to a consumer, for instance the logo I used for shape is alot more interesting than if you just wrote shape and underlined it
4 Audience

Annotations:

  • The audience of a graphic as well, for instance an older person is less likely to enjoy a childish design than a young child would (hence the name childish)
5 Format

Annotations:

  • The format of a graphic can also have a massive influence to the age group it is marketed at, for instance a piece of paper with a cartoon drawing on it is less appropriate at a office meeting than a formal pie chart or graph
6 Colour

Annotations:

  • Colour can change the mood of the design massively, for example is a picture of an apple is taken in black and white it would be received as a more artistic image than a high contrast image of the same apple
