Filming: Talking about the filming of our Opening Sequence I did the majority of, if not all, our filming. I worked closely with the Director of our Opening Sequence, Daniel,
and we determined and decided which camera angles and shot sizes which we would use. This was all obviously done before hand in the Shot List and Story Board and
then we actually filmed the scenes during the filming process. Looking at our finished Final Opening Sequence, you can see that our group has vast expertise when it
comes to Camera Movements and Angles. The above picture was from a part of our chase scene when we were trying to get the best ideal shot, and I was behind the
camera telling my group if they were in the right positions, whether they were actually in the shot, and other things like that.
Editing: I myself edited basically all of our Editing with Daniel, our Director, telling me how he would like
certain shots to last, how the scenes were portrayed to the audience and what sounds should be played over
certain scenes. After Daniel's guidance we both gave our input and explored different techniques and ways
in which we could make certain scenes look better. It was my job to take the filmed scenes off of the camera,
load them onto the computer, then edit them into the appropriate place in the Editing Program, Adobe
Premiere Pro. As well as all that I had to add all the sound and titles. The other members in our group,
James and Jack, also had some valuable input which they wouldadd after me andDaniel had gone through
our process. After their input we often discussed our options and changed certain scenes or we would decide
scenes were better left as they were.
Due to the fact our group worked very
closely in the Editing process this ensures
we got the best we possibly could out of
Opening Sequence.
Directing: Obviously we had our main Director Daniel who was usually the final decider in certain
decisions but like I have mentioned in previous blog posts all the members of our group had little
"Director" inputs which helped further our Opening Sequence in all the best ways. We all wrote
separate treatments, but Daniel's was the one we decided on which is why he was the Director,
however we did take certain aspects from everyones treatments and added them in to our Final
Opening Sequence.
Construction: Daniel was the one who scripted, casted and designed the majority of
Ultimatum, but it was my log line which were essentially the building blocks towards
what became Ultimatum. This is seen in the image post to the side from my "Log Line
Ideas For Opening Sequence" blog post. Other blog posts going into detail about
other aspects of Ultimatum are also located on my blog.
Daniel and I both created similar questionnaires for the
Pre-Cut of Ultimatum in which we could ask our Target
Audience what they thought about our Pre-Cut and what
we could improve on when it came to our Final Cut.
Daniel's questionnaire was the one which we ultimately
decided on using.
We needed to get some feedback not only from our Pre- Cut
but also from our Final Cut, so because of this we interviewed
some of our peers and also our Media Teacher. I myself filmed
the interview while Daniel and James asked the questions.
This interview can be seen in my "Feedback from Target
Audience" blog post.
Prop List: After creating my treatment, I created a Prop List and explained
how every prop would be used and how we would source them. I also
thoroughly explained which scene each of the props would be used in and
what character would be interacting with them and in which way.
