Generalisation and specialisation

1. a specialised class is the subclass

   • has the methods and attributes of the superclass and more..
     • oak and pine are specialised
       • an oak can be substituted for a tree

2. a generalised class is the superclass (the parent)

   • the tree is the generalised class

3. The interface of a class is the set of operations that specify the service that it provides. The class Account has the interface {credit(amount : Money), debit(amount : Money), getBalance()}
