- President Arthur feels that they Native Americans should instead become citizens so
that they could have the same privileges as everyone else.
- He suggests in his policy that an Act should be made stating that the Indians will
have a portion of their land and that it will be protected so that no one could take it.

- Both of these people have a different view of this because Chief Joseph feels that his people should
have everything that they previously had while President Arthur feels that they should only have a

- But they still both agree that they should have land it's just a matter of how
