  1. Blood pressure has two readings; diastolic and systolic pressure, in mmHg
    1. Smoking a high alcohol intake and a diet rich in saturated fats and salt increase blood pressure.
      1. High blood pressure can damage the brain (stroke) and kidneys.
        1. Being fit is the ability to do exercise and being healthy is being free from disease.
          1. A balanced diet will vary according to age, gender, activity, religion and personal choice.
            1. The body mass index (BMI) can be used to indicate being over weight or underweight.
              1. The EAR can be used to calculate protein requirements. It depends on age, pregnancy and lactations.
